Vicious Circle

The final exam is coming. We think and take notes while teachers keep teaching without any breath!!! It seems that not only students but also teachers are undergoing the suffering from the education of Taiwan! We have two to three tests everyday. The most unacceptable is that we don't have more time to test during the regular classes, so we have to finish the test papers by ourselves in each break time , in lunch time, even in the noon break, when we always need to take a little rest for other regular class in the afternoon. Sometimes we make a good use of regular classes, for example, we write A test paper in B class while B teacher still keeps teaching what he or she needs to give us! Everyone knows that it will distracted us from listening what teacher says, but what else can we do? It is actually a vicious circle! Shall we do something to change? or We just have no choice but to do that, to follow the circle we don't like?

Everyone is the victim of the vicious circle!

1220 Cracked Voice

I just caught a cold on 12/18. During my sleep time, I woke up several times because I felt a pain in my throat when I swallowed saliva. As I got up from my bed to the bathroom for cleaning the full phlegm out of my throat, I felt faint that I couldn't walk straightly. Those situation happened continously at that night.
In the next day morning, I could hardly say a word. I thought I have gotten a cold !
So far, I still can't speak as usual. For me, as a leader of 219 and GIVES, I need to open my mouth to announce or discuss something with my classmates. I should make more effort to know how to protect my vital THROAT!

12/14 Long time no see - Reunion in D.C. (Part 1)

It's our pleasure to have a dinner with Prof. Shirley, Barry, Lloyd and Prof. Chuang in our Dream Cubby.
All the members of the program about Australia Culture and Chinese Service last summer participated in this reunion. I was so excited because I could talk to foreigners again!
We talked about education and environment in Taiwan. It seemes that Lloyd has a lot thoughts about Taiwan. He hopes Taiwan could make more efforts in every pollution! Also, I infer that he is trying to make everyone in Taiwan speak English, letting English be more popular using, so he devotes himself to teaching children English here!

To be continued....

12/11 Stay real

I just read an chinese article named "my birthday gifts", written by Wen-hua, Wang.
It described how he learned from his father, who died of cancer. During the time when his father fight for living with cancer, every therapy on his father was a pain in wen-hua's heart, for example, chemotherapy. However, his father never gave up and always kept in a good mood, but he still passed away eventually.

Wen-hua mentioned that he learned three things from his father.

First, "perspective."
Day by day, we grow up and judge everything from different angles. Which angle is the best? Perhaps I will never understand throughly. If I make myself busy but never think about my family, my angle is just from myself. Even though I tell them all I pursue is what they will be proud. It is just an excuse to lie to my heart.

Second, "To make everything in proper order." Studying is our duties, enthusiastic about pursuing our dreams is also common sense we thought. But all the reasons we have couldn't constitute a cause of neglecting our family. To make everything in proper order, we can do everything better. To avoid regretting, we should really consider what we concern about.

Last, "To admit your frailness."We don't have to be arrogant or abase ourselves because human beings are always frail in front of Nature. Facing cancer or natural disaster, we have no idea what we gonna do. All we have is frailness......just like a bubble, broken right away if Nature pokes.

I can spend all my life studying abroad, running my business, traveling around the world. Yet I know, only several years can I spend with my parents living, talking, laughing, looking, sharing, crying, everything!

I really love my sweet family!
So "Stay Real!" and never forget what we really concern about.

12/08 Kindle Touch

I got my Kindle Touch on 12/08!!
I open the gift from myself without  hesitation. The size of Kindle Touch is just a palm of mine.
All the devices are set in English, including directions. This is my first time to buy a new tech with a little high price and to read the directions clearly due to the mentality that I don't want to miss any contemporary functions which I never thought about.
I can also browse any websites with Kindle through Wifi, but the change between two websites are not so quick that I don't think I will do too much searching with Kindle. Actually, Kindle is an E-book Reader, instead of the Tablets like iPad which we consider it a primary-amusemented.
I decided to buy Kindle because of the E Ink screens, looking and reading just like real paper! The advantage are to make my eye fatigue less, to read books anywhere without taking too many heavy books, most importantly, to buy it without so much price!
Kindle is easy to use, we became good friends in a short time!

It's what I has learned so far.

12/8-Givesmaster 1

Today, for our group I held an activity named "Givesmaster", which is adapted by "Toastmaster."
I prepared the Table Topic about Volunteering, picking someone at random to answer my questions. For instance, "what do you think about volunteering?"
After I poured out my questions, the person I chose could think about what to answer as she walked in the front of the classroom, only within up to 5 seconds. However, they really did a good job! Noboday had nothing to say when they were on the stage.
Hope we can grow up together day by day !

12/7

12/7

I just got a joyous message that I was notified to attend an interview on Saturday morning. Guess what? It was about SOC prize !!

I must have arranged the documents about what I have done since I began to be a volunteer. To my surprise, I have already conducted many programs within just one and a half year! I wouldn't have imagined how I could make it if I hadn't entered GIVES, my club.

Thanks to everyone around me, you always give me support no matter how I am. I will keep going, hope there will be more and more people joining the club, which really have a powerful effect on the world.
